Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
